The Canadian Palliative Care Nursing Association, (CPCNA) represents nurses from across Canada who integrate or specialize in providing palliative care for people with serious illness and for their families.

 

The mission of the association includes:

• Inspiring knowledgeable and compassionate nursing practice

• Cultivating a community of nurses who care for people affected by serious and life limiting illness

• Establishing the highest national standards of palliative and end of life care

• Advocating for equitable access to palliative care for people living in Canada

• Supporting education and preparation for certification in palliative care (Canadian Nurses Association)

• Supporting nursing research in palliative care.

The CPCNA works to achieve its’ mission through webinars, conferences, competency development, research and networking opportunities.

The CPCNA is a is a not-for-profit association with charitable status. We are open to creating sponsorship relationships to develop our online infrastructure which will help us to fulfill our mission. Ultimately, we aim to improve access to quality palliative care for all persons in Canada, as well as improve the care received by persons in Canada at end-of-life.
