We are going to be proposing an amendment to the bylaws and need to have a vote for this to happen. We would like to give members an opportunity to meet with us to discuss the proposed amendment prior to voting to make the change. 

 

Why? 

We are proposing to make an amendment to the bylaws as we have recently reviewed the bylaws and noted that the current wording of 5.03 Bullet 4 exceeds the parameters of the Not for Profit regulations and thus is creating barriers to becoming a director of the board. Our current bylaw does not align with the CPCNA conflict of interest policy. With the wording change, the intent is to lower barriers to Board, while maintaining compliance and maintaining integrity and transparency. We also want to ensure that the bylaws align with our conflict of interest policy. 

 

For those who are interested to give feedback or discuss please attend the upcoming general members meeting on November 18, 2025- 6:30pm EST. Otherwise on Nov 19 to the 21, 2025 we will open voting for the proposed bylaw amendment. We would encourage all members to have their voices and perspectives heard by voting and/or attending the meeting.
